Presentation Title:

Specifically Sensitized Leukocytes’ role in children brain disorders’ pathogenesis

Abstract

The extent of autoimmune damage to various brain compartments remains a significant challenge in neurology, especially in pediatrics. An immunological method for determining damage to children’s certain brain compartments has been developed. It has been shown that the blood leukocytes’ sensitization degree to the hippocampus, substantia nigra, anterior temporal lobe, insula and substantia alba tissue antigens in vitro determination   allows one to assess the functional activity of these compartments. The developed technique allows to identify the cause of a child's developmental delay. For example, in children with autism, the circulating leukocytes sensitization degree is more pronounced in relation to the white matter.
