Presentation Title:

Eating Behavior and Motivation to Lose Weight in Obese Adolescent Children

Abstract

Obesity in children and adolescents is currently recognized as the most important medical and social problem on a global scale and in the long term. Eating disorders in adolescents are of great importance in the formation of obesity. Patterns of eating behavior (PP) are laid down in childhood and persist throughout life. Eating behavior (PP) is a potentially modifiable cause leading to the development of obesity. According to the Dutch DEBQ questionnaire, the predominant type of PP disorder in obese adolescent children in the Smolensk region, regardless of its degree, is the emotionogenic type of PP, which occurs in almost a third of children (30.8%-34.3%). When developing a treatment program for obese patients, it is necessary to include the Achievement Motivation Questionnaire (MATS) to form an individual approach to body weight correction.
